Stock Class Paintball Game
The stock class paintball game has precise rules concerning the configuration of the guns, restricting the technology of the guns mechanisms obtainable in the early 1980s. The paintball guns used in stock class must use the following requirements:
- Pump action to fire
- Cannot carry more than 10 to 20 rounds of paintballs
- Powered by a 12gram carbon dioxide powerlets
- The paintballs must be held in a linear feed tube parallel to the barrel
The disadvantage that the pump action paintball guns is that it lacks an automatic mechanism for moving the bolt between the firing and loading position and instead the bolt is attached to a manual cocking mechanism causing the player to slide the bolt back and forward after each shot allowing the next paintball to fall into the chamber.
